We price projects based on the scope of work, and the amount of time we think it will take us to complete it. Some of our services are priced based on a licensing fee or a monthly service fee.
For web sites
The price of a web site varies mainly based on these factors:
- The total number of pages
- The number of different audiences the site needs to serve
- The number of unique template designs required
- Content management system requirements
- Copywriting - how many pages to be written or edited?
- Capabilities of your in-house team - can we share the work?
- Dynamic functionality such as databases, web applications
- Need for Flash interactions
- Need for ecommerce or other financial transactions
Our larger sites for major corporations and institutions like universities generally range between $150,000 - $300,000, and some go higher.
Every year we build a large number of sites for mid-sized organizations in the $30,000 - $80,000 range.
Our smallest sites are usually in the $15,000 - 20,000 range.
Fixed price or estimate?
We prefer to work on projects for a fixed price. When the overall scope is not well defined, we often provide a quote for a fixed-price planning phase, and a ballpark price range for development. At the end of the planning phase we will provide a fixed-price quote for the remaining development.
How do I get a proposal or quote? (and is it free?)
Please give us a call or email us to start a conversation about your project. We will consult with you about the scope of your project and provide a free proposal.
