Kiawah Island Real Estate and New City Media joined together to design not only a real estate site, but also the premier source of information about beautiful Kiawah Island, SC. From planning to design to implementation, our goal was to put the natural beauty of the island at the forefront. With over 10 miles of pristine beach; thriving populations of 18 species of mammals, more than 30 species of reptiles and amphibians, and some 300 species of birds; and 123 acres of parks; the only difficulty was deciding where to start.
The site also needed to provide important functionality to those who call this vibrant community home. So, we created the Island Directory, with information on the area’s seven golf courses, more than 30 miles of biking and hiking trails, shopping and dining choices and much, much more.
So, the site is beautiful and packed with information, but it’s also a real estate site. What about the listings? Working with Kiawah Island Real Estate, the search tools were designed to make the process of finding a home on the island not only intuitive, but enjoyable as well. Users see live updates as they configure their searches, and search results are displayed on a zoomable map of the island. Listings are updated every hour, making kiawahisland.com the most up-to-date source of information available.
